Welcome to Yoga Aerial.
A Brand New Class in Ouseburn
Do you want to keep active and improve your mental health?
In this class all of the practice benefits your mental health by reducing anxiety and stress, improving core strength and flexibility, focusing on breathing, and helping with confidence.
The rhythmic movements, deep breathing, and supportive, suspended environment of aerial hoop activate the body's relaxation response, which can lower stress hormones. The physical act of being in the hammock can also have a soothing, meditative effect.
What is involved in this class?
We start with practising breathwork to tune into our breathing, yoga practice to warm up, aerial hoop to strengthen our core and get creative with moving, and meditation to calm and ground the body to finish the session.
Iām excited to share with you!
I have set up a new yoga class; the type of yoga is Hatha and Yin yoga, combining aerial strength conditioning and getting creative exploring movement using the hoop. For the past couple of years I have been focusing a lot on improving my core strength and flexibility, and aerial hoop has been wonderful for bringing dance back into my life. It allows me to teach a class that helps improve our breathing, a physical class to keep the body active, and allows us ways of delving deeper into exploring movements and finding a release all at the same time.
It is a great practice for improving your mental health and is a full-body workout that improves flexibility and enhances core stability and coordination. It also offers advantages such as boosted confidence, stress reduction, and improved mood. The discipline is a full-body workout that combines strength training with grace and can be a fun way to get fit while developing mental focus.
Then we will all settle down and finish meditating to balance our bodies to finish the session.
What will be involved in this class?
Breathwork, Yin Yoga, Aerial Hoop Body conditioning and movement and then a meditation technique to close each session.
We will start with observing our breathing before starting any physical movement. Then we start some Yin Yoga practice before we go to the hoop to warm up. We will practice exercises using the hoop and practice movement on the hoop to build up core strength and other different exercises using the hoop as a prop to strengthen our bodies.
After this, we will balance our bodies by calming the body down to relax into a breath awareness meditation.
