Who am I?

My name is Jodie Freestone. When I was 4 years old, I was diagnosed with epilepsy. It came in phases and made my life confusing. Along my journey, I had tried all kinds of methods and approaches to lessen the severity of my epilepsy, but none of them seemed to help reduce the impact. Yoga came into my life when I started university.

At university, I studied a dance and choreography course, so we practised yoga each morning to stretch. After I graduated from university, I started studying for a 500 hr British Wheel of Yoga Teacher Training Diploma in the space of 4 years and continue to do other training courses to improve my knowledge. Now I am a qualified yoga teacher and have been teaching for 6 years. šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø

I look back and notice how much had changed before yoga came into my life and the huge improvements I have had to make for myself. It has made me realise what life is worth living for.

Yoga is a huge part of my life and helps me with my health condition, so I have so much passion to teach to the public! I want to help others with the knowledge I am continuing to learn and have learnt in the past.

In the past, I went to Falmouth University to train in BA Hons Dance and Choreography.

After graduation, I completed a 500 hr qualification with The British Wheel of Yoga to teach yoga and meditation.

Now I am a trained yoga and meditation teacher qualified in different types of yoga and will be combining the new class with aerial hoop strength and conditioning exercises, as I have just completed my aerial hoop teacher training. In my new classes I will introduce different exercises exploring and creating movement on the hoop.

I’m currently teaching breathwork, Hatha, yin, chair yoga, aerial hoop movement, and breath awareness meditation to close the session.
